A separatist is a person who supports the separation of a particular group of people from a larger body on the basis of ethnicity, religion, or gender.

@pulaski1 OK I'm using the term loosely then. I mistakenly used it for 'personal' instead of as you have defined it. My mistake.

It's against international laws for commercial ships to be armed in that manor. They can hire security (to a limit-they must be trained in small arms) or call in a governmental military for help. Otherwise, they'd be considered potentially dangerous if fighting became escalated in conflicts.

Propaganda can have a positive connotation. PSA for health or against abuse is technically propaganda. If it is making society better, then it is positive. The problem comes when the truth is hidden from the general public and a forced narrative is pushed that isn't a positive message for change. We all are getting told propaganda daily and probably don't even know it. You parents told you propaganda with the intend to help you grow to be a better person (usually). You are probably stating propaganda daily...maybe you know it, maybe you don't.

Propaganda can be good as well. It doesn't have to be negative. A PSA for health or against abuse is technically propaganda. You and I share propaganda every day. As long as it is the truth and helpful for the general public, it is a good thing. Yes one-sided half-truths can be dangerous. Messages meant to bring about a 'lock-step' form of society isn't healthy or good or even safe.

@pulaski1 Those as well, but I'm speaking of the alphabet soup of genders. Not everyone falls into this, but It's like chasing an air bubble under a piece of plastic. They simply want to be 'separate'. Which is fine with me. But I won't be able to keep up for better or worse... I 'think' that's what most separatists want? They want to be recognized as an entity/group but don't want anyone to recognize them ironically. I do believe that good can come out of separatist movements, too many of them bring their own form of bigotry and hatred. IMO that makes them the same as those they want to be separate from, just in a different flavor. I could be wrong.
