50 and early retirement. I'm very worried about the future and where we're all heading, especially in terms of money and how to get by. I'm considering making my first investment in the stock market, but how can I do so given that the market has been in a mess for the majority of the year?

Gold might crash in a liquidity crunch, but many precious metal holders are prepared for this and unlikely to be forced sellers. The paper market would tank and possibly collapse. Hearing from an experienced investor who has overcome adversity is motivating. It can be scary when your portfolio turns red, but if you've invested in strong companies, stick to your goals and continue growing them

I don't really blame people who panic. Lack of information can be a big hurdle. I've been making more than $124k passively by just investing through an advisor, and I don't have to do much work. Inflation or no inflation, my finances remain secure. So I really don't blame people who panic.

Would you mind telling me how to contact this specific coach using their service? Unlike the rest of us, it appears you have figured everything out.

Very difficult indeed, but when the going gets tough, the tough gets going. You have to learn and handle finances properly. you should hire a CFP to help you diversify your assets to include ETFs/index funds/mutual funds and stocks of companies with consistent cash flows. Don't go for penny stocks.

Knowledgeable Investors know where and how to put money during a crisis in order to reduce risk and maximize returns. See a market strategist with experience if you are unable to manage these market conditions.

It's a good idea to seek advice at the moment, unless you're an expert yourself. As someone who runs a service business and sells products on eBay, I can tell you that the economy is struggling and many people are struggling financially.

Having a mentor is my personal recommendation. It seems like a good bet if you have limited market knowledge, but I'm not sure where you'll find an experienced one.

Thanks for sharing. I searched for her name and found her website. I reviewed her credentials and did my research before contacting her. Thanks again.

I think this is something I should do, but I've been stalling for a long time now. I don't really know which firm to work with; I feel they are all the same but it seems you’ve got it all worked out with the firm you work with so i surely wouldn’t mind a recommendation.

I completely agree. It's not just about the dividends or profits, Diversifying a portfolio can be a smart move and i always advise one gets a professional to help out.

As hard as it may sound you can plan for the recession. If you are working, find extra work and get an Invest--advisor. Protect your deposits by having enough cash in short term fixed income. Then cut your expenses. Minimal insurance, cut utilities.

It's a bit unsettling to see the US dollar losing value due to inflation while other currencies are gaining momentum, creating a sense of uncertainty. Despite this, there's still a level of trust in the perceived safety of the dollar. I understand your concern about your $420,000 retirement savings potentially losing value. Exploring alternative options for securing your money sounds like a wise move. Have you considered any specific alternatives or strategies to safeguard your retirement savings?

This is definitely considerable! think you could suggest any professional/advisors i can get on the phone with? I'm in dire need of proper portfolio allocation
4
Choose quality stocks and follow them up. If you're not one for such complexities, work with an Advisor to grow your portfolio. You can't go wrong with a sound CFA.
4
Although the market is currently volatile, aren't the current valuations a result of the Federal Reserve's monetary policy and low interest rates? Therefore, my recommendation is that you consult a financial advisor who can give you entry and exit points for the shares that you are interested in.
4
I do not disagree, there are strategies that could be put in place for solid gains regardless of economy or market condition, but such execution are usually carried out by investment experts or advisors with experience since the 08' crash.

Please can you leave the info of your lnvestment advsor here? I’m in dire need for one

Stacy sure knows her onions in this industry, from her intimidating profile which I went through, on her web home page. I started off last year tailoring a colleague's trading strategies but it didn't pan out well. Hopeful that Jessica will attend to my message.

I think there are advisors that can help you achieve the growth you need. You just have to make some research and get one who fits your fin-goal. YT is not the place!

Wow, her track record looks really good from what I found online. Have been doing this on my own and not much growth. I'll take a chance and see how it goes. Thanks for the info

I think it's not always about fear, Sometimes realistic factors discourage people from reaching their goals in life. For instance, I've tried investing in the stock market several times but always got discouraged by fluctuations of stock value

I believe SVB was making an effort to reorganize their bond portfolio. Yes, they would lose money if they sold their low-yielding bonds. But, they were trying to make up for it by repurchasing bonds on the open market at the higher interest rate.

The pathway to substantial returns doesn't solely rely on stocks with significant movements. Instead, it revolves around effectively managing risk relative to reward. By appropriately sizing your positions and capitalizing on your advantage repeatedly, you can progressively work towards achieving your financial goals. This principle applies across various investment approaches, whether it be long-term investing or day trading.
