Even after the May deal failed, the opposition parties could have got a soft Brexit through if they had been prepared to set up a caretaker government led by Clarke of Harman or somesuch. Let's not forget Johnson had no majority. Corbyn screwed up big time. And if you look at the general election, a majority of votes voted for parties promising either to remain or to hold a people's vote.
