  5. All swamp dwellers are above the law. That is the most glaring fact of modern politics. They should not be, but they got away with things that would have gotten me locked up for decades had I done the same. That is what it means to be a part of the Washington establishment of federal bureaucracies. Never fired, never prosecuted, just like cops, living above the law that they apply to the rest of us at gunpoint.
