  2. Why can't I find any evidence of this study? The closest I can find is "Evaluation of salt marsh restoration by means of self-regulating tidal gate Avon estuary, South Devon, UK" which as the title suggests is based around using a tidal gate. It has never been suggested that the islands would sink, rather that the sea would rise above them.
