  1.  dirpitz6157  They are definitely qualified. A junior doctor has qualifications above a masters degree. An apprentice in any profession will have absolutely no job specific education, a junior doctor has at least five years of post graduate level education and around £100k of student debt, an apprentice has no student debt. Junior doctors are required to study for a minimum of 20 hours a week to move up to the next level or lose their job. No other profession does that. In my profession, engineering a graduate with a masters will be starting on £35k and up to £60 within 5-7 years. Even chartership will take bugger all effort and add another £5k - £10k to that salary

  2.  @taffyterrier  There are two sides to any dispute. If one side refuses to negotiate, as the government have then they have to take the blame for the dispute not ending.

  3.  @taffyterrier  If that's the case then why is there such a shortage and why are so many leaving to work overseas? Surely people would be lining up to take the jobs and no one would ever leave if it were that easy and that well paid

  5.  @NoMercy-bt8xg  Under Labour 14 private sector contracts were issued in the NHS. Since the tories took power that has risen to over 3000 plus much of the regulation introduced by Labour to ensure quality of service and value has been removed by the tories
