  2. Taxes shouldn't need to be raised to give pay rises inline with inflation. Price and wage rises inline with inflation automatically increase tax receipts by the same because tax is a percentage

  3.  @Sammy1234568910  The UK government hasn't withheld funds, they are there for NI but without a functioning government there is no one to set budgets to determine where the funds get spent
