  2.  @anonomous8719  Don't be stupid. They still pay VAT, fuel duty and plenty of other taxes plus their employers pay taxes on the profits made due to under paying workers. The economy would collapse without those low paid workers, they are essential so why punish them further?

  3. In real terms, salaries are lower now than in 2010. They don't seem to realise that a population with no money cannot spend and who benefits from that? Surely businesses want us to spend, banks want us to invest and the government want more tax revenue so making the general population better off is in everyones interest.
