  1. Exactly. Other countries who didn't take the austerity recovered faster than the UK. Spending on infrastructure projects really boosted the German economy by creating well paid jobs and getting money moving in the construction and manufacturing industry which helped kickstart the economy. All austerity does is cause stagnation, if people don't have money they can't spend it and recovery takes longer. Tories blame Labour for privatisation of the NHS because they created the first private contracts in the NHS, what they fail to mention is Labour awarded 14 contracts and the tories have since awarded over 3000 while also removing the regulations on those contractors which were created to ensure value and quality of service
