  1. Of course it did. People were suddenly allowed to go in to crowded places so instead of just a few people being alerted for each case, it's potentially hundreds. The app doesn't work. If I sit on the opposite side of a restaurant to someone who is tested positive for covid then I still get alerted because I was in the same restaurant at the same time even though I might have been 20 metres away or even on another floor. The app is deeply flawed and if the government want people to take any notice of it, they need to get it re-programmed to take in to account actual proximity rather than just in the same building.
