Speaking of D notice: there is also a D notice on the forced adoption scandal in the UK: where children are being forcibly removed from their parents, in very spurious grounds, to feed the lucrative adoption industry in the UK. Jack Straw of the labour government made it illegal for parents or children to speak out about this. I only found out about it because I was involved in a campaign many years ago to get justice for a young disabled woman - the state then used the 'Court of Protection' (forced adoption) to shut her and her mother up. Thankfully they failed because of the loudness of her supporters.
