  1. I remember being out dolphin watching on a boat in Portugal and I turned to the guide to tell him how friendly they are: "No. They are dangerous wild animals" was his reply. He went on to say he would rather be down there with sharks than dolphins - and he was a marine biologist, so he knew what he was talking about.

I was very surprised when he said that: he was telling me that one time he went diving and a pod of dolphins came over to investigate and he got out of there as quickly as he could: it was then that he mentioned he'd rather be down there with sharks - so, yeah, you can imagine my surprise to hear that.
