That story about bono really is a microcosm: two rock stars meet at an airport: one returning with children he had rescued from a war zone, the other on his way to schmooz the people who started that war.

For someone who dodged the Vietnam draft because he "Didn't want to die in a rice paddy" John Bolton sure does like to swim in other peoples' blood.

That clip of those guys pondering their last few months alive while that woman was singing cheesy pop songs at them was stomach churning.

Does Mr Freeman understand that Ukraine's army has been attacking East Ukraine for eight years now, even despite Ukraine having signed the Minsk agreement and numerous diplomatic efforts by Russia to stop the attacks? Does he understand that Ukraine amassed 60,000 troops on the East Ukraine border and began intense shelling of the region just before the Russians finally reacted?

If someone of the caliber of brennan doesn't like you, you know you're on the right side of everything.
43
What was that echoed all over the world since 1945? "We must never allow this to happen again". Shameful: Germany gone full circle and this time they don't even see it. Smh.
38
"UK Intelligence services" has so many contradictions in terms it's almost funny.
26
@MrToontuber The Guardian is a British Newspaper - alleged newspaper.
22
I'm in the EU and I literally can't believe what's going on around me and most people here seem to just accept it.
21
The MSM played a leading role.
20
Paul Mason is The Bell-end Of Bellingcat.
20
Lol :D
18
Exactly.
17
He probably has seen it already but it doesn't fit in with the narrative he's interested in.
11
Yes - I began to get that impression the more he spoke. I'm sure he's telling the truth about Bolton but I found myself laughing at many of the other things he said. You're right - he is one of them and he's lying when it suits him.
11
For someone who believes in population reduction, gates sure has a quite sizeable family - in fact all these population reduction promoters have.
9
@MrKhushrenada Lol good one - but tbh even my *ss has standards that the Guardian can't reach.
9
He reminds me of Hannibal Lecter.
8
Exactly.
8
Every time I look at the guy I think of Hannibal Lecter from Silence of the Lambs.
8
Lol, great comment! Made me laugh out loud.
6
I agree completely. He's not an individual with clean hands.
6
Thew EU declared economic war on itself from day one, they just didn't have the brains to realise it....and nor did their citizenry.
5
@ashfield1425 Absolutely right. To me its just incredible how obvious it all is and yet how many people don't see it. But there again I switched my TV off a long time ago and never used social media (apart from youtube, if that counts).
5
"There is Russian aggression" he says: Russia and Donbas were provoked non-stop for 8 solid years with Russia even backing a peace deal that saved tens of thousands of Ukrainian troops that were surrounded in Donbas. You can't show much better faith that that. They did everything they could to avoid this conflict.
4
True. I remember during the Syrian war Jeremy Scahill refusing to appear on a panel if a Syrian nun was allowed to be there. Apparently he didn't agree with her views on Assad and, rather than debating her on it, told the organisers he wouldn't take part if she was there. As a former fan of his work it was a shock to realise he's no journalist.
4
Exactly. He may not be as insane or nasty as bolton, but he is part of the same sewer, and he reveals it himself without even noticing.
4
Exactly.
4
I worked in Germany for a little while after college in the early 90s: U2 were on a tour there at the time and came into the restaurant one day being jerks and acting like rock stars. My boss, to his great credit, threw them all out, he didn't care who they were.
3
I agree.
3
Exactly. Very sharp comment - he's still doing his duty and I always smirk when I hear someone described as an "ex-cia" man.
3
True. He lost all credibility as soon as he said that, in my opinion. In that context nothing else he says can be of any value: I think I'll give the rest of this interview a miss.
3
True - and I notice with interest that this most recent effort has failed and backfired. It seems the previous efforts to destroy that country have strengthened it to the degree that even the value of the Ruble is increasing. I believe Brzezinski was driven insane by his hatred of Russia, if he wasn't insane already.
3
I agree.
3
I agree - he speaks the truth about some things but, when all is said and done, he's a "retired" intelligence officer who believes in coups. That in itself says a lot. I did find myself shaking his head at many of the things he said.
3
I wonder if the genuine vets who pursue stolen valour fakers have been onto these guys yet?
3
@TheDrewSaga Exactly right on both counts.
3
@elizabethferrari3647 I remember the attempt against Chavez very well. Back in the days when I used to listen to Alex Jones he would have a regular guest on called steve pieczenick - "ex" cia: now a holier than thou reformed good guy giving his analysis even though his former bosses warn him not to talk to the alt media (the usual script): then one day he let it slip that he was part of the group that kidnapped and murdered Aldo Moro, the prime minister of Italy. Moro was murdered because he refused to be a puppet to the US or subject his people to becoming a puppet state. His murder was particularly vicious and depraved - seeing the animal who slaughtered him giving misinfo to Jones' audience when he should be in a facility for the criminally insane was sickening. A very good actor, very good at pretending to be a nice guy.
3
They've been on the ground since the 2014/15 war in Donbas: a nato commander was killed during a failed incursion into Donetsk: I doubt if he was the only one there.
3
Exacvtly. I'm still laughing at the claim (from both him and Aaron) that they have no idea what Russia could have done, but they should definitely not have done that.
3
And just look at how many people were happy to believe it.
2
Bolton is an animal.
2
Its about time people stopped seeing them as gods. I remember growing up seeing all the doctors and scientists that I was related to being fawned over by everyone and, of course, they all had a god complex because of it but none of them had a shred of wisdom.
2
@fredtan1506 Absolutely. Ali didn't want to kill anyone: Bolton wanted to kill everyone but didn't want to be in any danger himself. How someone as mentally disturbed as him could ever be such an important player in international politics is very disturbing.
2
Me, too.
2
The Guardian is subsidised by the BBC which buys nearly half its daily printed copies to keep it afloat: and it took a Freedom Of Information request to get them to admit that.
2
She even looks like a weasel.
2
John bolton is a legend in his own mirror.
2
True. Mind you, Armstrong himself is a deep state operative. He may not be as nasty as bolton but he operates and swims in the same cesspool: lying about leaders is part of his profession.
2
@elizabethferrari3647 True. He did sound very credible and honest until he started making these bizarre claims.
