Elected by whom? The little club that chose his disastrous predecessor.
94
The fact that this is even being asked shows how loathsome our political class has become.
72
Coldest, wettest, windiest July in years here in London - and everyone seems to notice it except ITV, BBC, Ch 4, Sky and all the usual suspects.
62
The two men who attacked police and broke a female officer's nose have not been charged - instead the officer was suspended. Leeds - officers were forced out by a mob and there were no arrests. This "chief prosecutor" cannot be taken seriously on any level. I would urge him to recognise that this is not going to last - and he needs to consider how he will be viewed years from now.
56
I see over at the BBC, they disabled their comments section.
53
One of the most privileged people in the country: a Westminster Club insider for decades: and she's bleating about being badly treated. Smh.
46
"History was made". Don't make me laugh, itv.
45
The country has been falling to pieces, rampant crime of the very worst kind is everywhere except in Johannesburg. Clearly the ANC has failed.
27
Odd that the Met wasn't interested until a widely viewed drama was released about it. Should have been the other way around. The real criminals behind this should be in prison.
27
Dear labour voters. We warned you. You finally see it - but what a harsh lesson. The tory and labour establishments are of no further use to the country and are only harming people now. Do your research and vote with your conscience next time. We've buried the tories, now let's bury labour and finally start getting this country back.
25
Yes. In 2016 I didn't laugh because I didn't think it was right to - but after their behaviour in the last 4 years I'm gloating and mocking them all.
24
That's right: they've been using ground temperatures to give a false impression.
24
Perfectly phrased. That's exactly what this was about. The media class in this country is the absolute scrapings of humanity.
19
They produced him - I doubt if they're much different.
16
Steak Knife - the cream of British intelligence assets. When are you British ever going to learn? This is a game to your intelligence services: half of the Guildford and Birmingham bombers were British assets: even Lord Haw Haw was a British asset in Ireland at one stage: and this scappaticci wasn't the only high ranking republican recruited by the British. This is nothing but a chess game to them and they don't care who gets hurt or killed, even if the victims are British civilians.
15
Hamas should have left the civilians alone: I'm not saying that Israel's record on how it treats civilians is any better, but some of the footage from that incursion was stomach churning. I just feel very sorry for all the civilians harmed or killed in the middle of this.
15
The man is clearly ahead of his time - the rest of us fell asleep waiting for the outcome. And his stance on this insane lock down has earned him my respect.
15
She's probably receiving a lot of money from the same people who employ that guy.
11
True. But let's not forget the huge part the other two main parties and the media played in all this. All in lockstep while the media acted as a press office for the govt.
11
They've sucked a lot worse than lemons.
9
Its worse than that: he attacked 3 children and 2 women, seriously injuring all 5 - it turns out he was supposed to be deported (here illegally) 15 years ago but then an NGO intervened and he was granted a full Irish passport. He's been on benefits ever since. I believe it was the current Irish PM whose dept. granted the passport back then, possibly for a sizeable bribe. The Irish governemnt and media are doing everything they can to cover this and other murders and beheadings that have taken place in Ireland at the hands of "immigrants" from the Middle East.
8
Yep: its doubly funny because she was blasting anyone else who had sent their children to private school: and then it became public knowledge that she had sent her own to one.
8
Excellent point.
8
Its been the same here in London - and I visited Glasgow a couple of weeks ago and it was rainy and cold.
7
Pound-its, more like :D
7
Same in London and Glasgow.
6
Exactly. I think the Metropolitan London set couldn't get their heads round the fact that the officer was acting well within his remit. None of them have to live in any of the catchment areas patrolled by these gangs.
4
@pixiehead8963 I guess that comment is supposed to imply I'm a racist. Too bad for you and your under the radar bigotry that I'm an immigrant. Now that that's out of the way, try to at least get a basic grasp of the comment I was actually making, instead of the one you clumsily tried to project onto it. Its in the text, very simple to understand.
4
Exactly.
4
Same here in London. Its exactly the same - and I was in Glasgow a couple of weeks ago and it was actually cold, like March/April cold, there.
4
@GregOrCreg The comments over there would have been no different. Don't forget the list of people, including jlmmy s&ville, and the very recent h*w edw*rds, starts of the bbc wjho were involved in that stuff. But if you think the bbc deserves to be protected from being called out over its own track record in this area, ok.
3
Good point.
3
I agree completely. A lot of people are saying the same thing so, instinctively, they must realise there is a lot more to all this. After what the security services did to Julian Assange, I won't take their word for any claims about anyone else.
3
@pixiehead8963 If I thought people "should vote for Reform" I would have said so. There are other parties and candidates out there, and there will be more as it comes closer to the election. I'm always amazed at the mental gymnastics of people seeing things in a simple, straightforward statement that weren't even said. I guess my statement of the obvious that the tories and labour have caused carnage between them and are of no further value wasn't grasped. Smh.
3
That poor guy.
3
"The head of M15 said". Lol. It must be true, so.
3
Smearing normal people who are concerned about the future and welfare of their country. How far journalism has fallen, and continues to fall.
2
I'm glad to see someone else making that comment. Its a pity others don't see it.
2
@worship568 A member of the Westminster club: privileged "in many ways" is an understatement. As for these claims of death threats: well we have her word for that, don't we? The same woman who blasted people for putting their children through privates school....until it was found out that she, herself, put her own through private school. Its never a good idea to take the word of liars and hypocrites. Death threats. Yeah, Sure.
2
He achieved an impressive amount of destruction in the short time he was there. LOl - I believe the police are now snowed under and having to work overtime just to keep up with Hate Crime complaints. They wanted this law, too, now they have it lol.
2
The officer should never have faced charges in the first place. And the leadership of the police service better stand behind him on this and not run away. Whoever made the decision to put this to trial is a major part of the problem we face today in this country.
2
Same in London and Glasgow.
2
The only people responsible for false rumours are you lot at ITV. I'm glad the comments section has set you straight about the stabbing attack on 2 women and three children that led to the riots in Dublin.
2
Yes, I remember 1976 and 1977, both summers were scorching.
2
Given that Ireland's political class wants all this it's strange that they're suddenly saying they don't. My guess is the Rwanda deal shone a spotlight on what the Irish government has been getting away with and the backlash means they can no longer hide it.
2
Lol.....if only you knew about Jerry Adams. :D
1
Oh no! During the summer we're facing global warming - during the winter we're facing global freezing. Only the media, al gore and greta thornbush can save us.
1
I thought XLs were already a banned breed in Britain.
1
@robo3715 Did you?
1
Exactly. The media in this country are even lower than the gangs this thug was part of.
