  1. Peter's point about msm "journalists" beginning to change their tune is right: what good is it to speak up now that the restrictions are being lifted? None of them spoke up when it mattered and tbh nearly all of them were rabidly endorsing this madness anyway, regardless of what they claim now.

  3. It's worse than that. Dick was fast tracked through the ranks very shortly after deMenezes' killing. The leadership of the met is rotten and useless: remember Craig Mackay, the police chief who hid cowering in his car with two senior colleagues as a young policeman was being murdered nearby by a terrorist.

  4. Some? TBH I'm the only person I know who refused to wear a muzzle from the very beginning. And in my opinion the most supine have been the older generations, particularly the boomers (I myself am in my fifties).

  7. @brucepercy That's a good point: as awful as the last two years have been, they have shown everyone for who they really are: politicians, media, even family, friends, work colleagues and neighbours.

  13.  @aceofswords1725  That's an interesting point: I hadn't seen his interviews in a while so I hadn't heard or seen him do that, but I have seen some journalists, from msm and even from alt media, support the first lockdown - and many of these were people I had previously respected.
