Do some research on the beginning of this conflict (it started in 2014, not 2022) and the 8 years that East Ukraine was being shelled by Kiev forces, 14,000 dead, while the Russians kept telling us that they wouldn't tolerate this indefinitely.

  4. @@alexandermercourisdotcom1You may think it's funny. I don't. In 2014 the elected government of Ukraine was overthrown in a violent coup with the use of $5bn from the US State dept (don't bother denying it, Victoria Nuland admitted it herself). The new Right Sector govt under Poroshenko banned the Russian language and then the attacks on ethnic Russians in east Ukraine began, which culminated in the massacre of ethnic Russians in the Union Building in Odessa. The people who who carried out that massacre (azov) were then given their own regiment withing the army: after that Ukraine soldiers began attacking Donbas. Crimea voted to rejoin Russia to protect itself and Donetsk and Luhansk opted to fight after Russia told them they couldn't join, but that they would help them. Eventually there was a ceasefire and a peace agreement that East Ukraine honoured, but Kiev didn't. They carried on attacking East Ukraine, while Russia did everything they could to get Kiev to honour the Minsk agreement. In Feb 2022 Ukraine forces intensified shelling and began amassing on the border. This time the Russians had had enough. They were invited in by East Ukraine to end this once and for all - and that's what they're doing.
