It's common for the extremely wealthy to frame their life as about how they tried to do the best for other people. It's exactly how most of us less wealthy would frame our lives. However, it's probably how Hitler and Stalin would frame their lives so there is an emptiness to that framing unless there considerable evidence to prove the validity of the sentiment. Only that first conversation after death proves whether that sentiment is accurate.

McBeast shut up and enjoy making the podcast and let Fridman be Fridman. He is doing his thing and you enjoy doing yours.

When you are young (24) chasing the almighty dollar makes sense especially if you can do it well. When you are a bit older (30+) and have already attained success then how your impact effects many others becomes more important.

McBeast's description of his lifestyle seems to be one where he'll be more and more isolated as he lives his life. That is a cage that will be harder and harder to escape from as he becomes further and further removed from the rest of us. Even pity for his circumstance won't be sufficient.

I suspect that $10,000 poll would have a different result if the participants agreed to be one of the potential victims.
