  1.  @gingergamer3270  Qantas has had more than two or three since WW2 (Google is your friend here). Also, the airlines that eventually comprised its domestic arm have had a few hull losses, e.g. VH-TFB and VH-TQQ are just two that come to mind.

  2.  @harsep  No idea about what it's like at Quantas ... But at Qantas (without the "U"), 65 for international operations, but that doesn't apply to domestic operations. There was a court case about it this year when Qantas terminated the employment of an A330 captain because he turned 65.

  3.  @TWCobra  I'm not sure why someone would think Qantas would operate a 737 from Australia to Bangkok - after all, it's a pretty long stretch.

  4.  @filanfyretracker  I've only been through Atlanta and DFW a couple of times, but on each occasion the taxiing seemed so long that I wondered if the pilot was just going to drive to our destination instead of flying there.

  5.  @catprog  True, but many people commenting on the Qantas hull loss reputation choose not to make this important distinction. Whenever I read a statement saying Qantas has never lost a hull, it immediately sews doubt in my mind regarding the commentator's post due to this inaccuracy, i.e. "If they've got this bit wrong that I know about, then what other bits that I don't know about have they got wrong?"

  6.  @phillarnach9484  Well done on qualifying that comment. Qantas has had plenty of hull losses, just not a jet hull to date.

  7.  @unlocated7448  Thanks for clarifying that. The number of people who perpetuate this myth that Qantas has never had a hull loss (as opposed to a jet hull loss) is amazing ... it's not like the information is hidden anywhere, they could just Google it - if they wanted to get it right, that is.

  9.  @michaelcollins8330  There is no "U" in Qantas. Having said that; Qantas allegedly repairing the aircraft to maintain their record doesn't quite stack up. Qantas (or at least its component parts) have lost aircraft- aside from various hull losses in the Qantas international fleet, VH-TFM and VH-TQQ were part of the fleet which is nowadays the domestic arm of Qantas.
