  1. The problem with these men, is that, they took out long term mortgage, thinking their job forever. Have they never though of, what if the campany goes under or restructure. Morgage is a death trap. By having a mortage, one becomes the slave for the bank, until it is paid off. After paying it off, the total housing price with interest doubled than the purchasing price.

  3.  @transitengineer  That is true, but interest alone is also like throwing money out the window each month. For example, most time, your mostly paying interest and little actually goes to the principle.
