  2. They are a blue bubble for sure, but Joe is coming from LA and SF. He lived in LA for a long time and spent a lot of time in San Fransisco. Austin must look like a conservative utopia from his point of view. I live in NW Florida, which is DEEP red. I spend a lot of time in South Alabama, and I also lived in Texas when I was stationed at Fort Hood. Austin to me would feel very liberal. To Joe it won’t. He probably feels like it’s very moderate. Which, he’s kind of right. Compared to his past locations and my last locations, Austin is probably moderate.
