The economy exploded then due to the fact that NO ONE paid anywhere near 70% to 90% in taxes because you could deduct almost everything then and thus reduce your taxable income to almost ZERO. The other reason was because of the pent up demand for goods post WW2. Now, please explain how having your money stolen at gunpoint and then squandered by the state magically grows the economy. There are degrees to tyranny, but you can't have a socialist state without it being totalitarian. No one has "equal power" with a communist state. HISTORY HAS PROVEN that there are always a select elite few wealthy Bernies at the top that live in luxury while the masses fight for dog shit. If you're not harming anyone or their property, then there's nothing good about being forced at gunpoint to do the will of the state. NOTHING. Any form of gov that requires that should be "dismissed" immediately. Actually, a monopoly on the initiation of force is at the core of ALL types of government. However, there are obvious degrees to authoritarianism - such as the vast difference between the mythical minarchist state and the full blown authoritarianism of communism.

Now there are very very few loopholes plus regulations up the ass which is why businesses went offshore. 2) Wages have been stagnant (although apparently rising now) because the USD has lost 96% of its value since the Federal Reserve started in 1913. By the way, Marx included a central bank in the Communist Manifesto. 3) Marx knew that for communism to take hold that you had to brainwash the children young. YOU are proof of state indoctrination.
