Thyalwaysseek Because our father/mother god government steals a large portion of our money at gunpoint. i.e. taxation, thus making many of us unable to afford charity so we take care of our immediate families. In spite of that legal theft, the US people (and overwhelmingly those on the right) are the most generous humans on earth.

  2. KA17 I agree with most of what you said but the "safety net" you said is no longer there is still there and has been since LBJ's horrendous Great Society. Unfortunately that "safety net" has become a hammock for many and has resulted in the destruction of generations of families.
