Comments by "" (@Mawyou) on "Biden under fire for Supreme Court nominee promise" video.
@aj-zt8br Funny, because the female picks made by Trump and Reagan for the Supreme Court both had MUCH less experience as federal judges than all the black females Biden is considering. Amy Coney Barrett only served as judge for 2 years. I don't remember conservatives being mad then about her "qualifications" 🤔 . All they could talk about was flipping Ruth Bader Ginsberg's seat to conservative. So when we consider this hypocrisy, conservatives are sending a very loud message that they just don't like black people.

How do you know they had a specific woman in mind? If I rewind the video just a few seconds, it sounds to me like they said they hadn't picked yet. Perhaps a little bias has your ears plugged up 🤔

@aj-zt8br First of all, how do inflation, grocery shops, crime have anything to do with Biden fulfilling his duty to pick a nominee? You do know that the president has more than one job right? Second, Clarence Thomas was NOT chosen based on merit. He was chosen because he was one of the few black conservatives available to Bush Sr. when Thrurgood Marshall died on the court. And just like Amy Coney Barret, Thomas was a judge for LESS THAN 2 YEARS before being elevated to the Supreme Court. His views were widely seen as extreme and he would NOT have had a chance at confirmation if he weren't one of the few black conservatives available. And third, no I would not be upset if a white man appointed me to a position of power to help with diversity. Considering these women are ALL more qualified than several Republican picks on the Court, I see it as heroic to end some of the entrenched discrimination. And to expose on camera conservatives' hypocrity and their true views about seeing black people in power.

@aj-zt8br If you were a white man living in a mostly black country, where white people made up a significant part of the population but have been discriminated against for hundreds of years, I think you might feel differently about considering race. About having ANY real representation. It's so easy for a white person to say, "I wouldn't consider race," when almost every judge in history was a white man. When all our laws were vetted primarily by white men, who had no restrictions on the schools they could attend or the law societies they could join to get them noticed in legal circles. White people didn't suffer when they upheld slavery or said that "separate is equal," which we know is total BS. White people didn't suffer when the Supreme Court struck down the core of the Voting Rights Act, on the premise that "racism is over in the South." You didn't have to worry about being left out consideration because the court already had a person of color. Even though Justice Thomas consistently "interprets" the law in ways that harm people of color. I can't force you to be open-minded, all I can do is try.

@aj-zt8br Biden will pick a good judge. He has many good people advising him. He's not going to pick a judge who is rated "Not Qualified" by the American Bar Association like Trump did 9 times. And as any grown black woman can attest to, she will have to be twice as good to get half the respect.

But Trump and Reagan using sex to pick their choice wasn't sexist? Hypocrit much? Where was your anger then?
1
@matthewclark8651 Why is it okay to use sex but not race when trying to make the court actually represent the society it serves? I guess demographics only became insulting to you when he said "black." Wonder why 🤔
1
@matthewclark8651 Oh now conservatives believe in polls. You mean they're not fake news anymore? Lol I stand by my previous comment. Any way you look at it, picking demographics only became insulting to you after he said "black." Wonder why 🤔

@matthewclark8651 Something I noticed about this country: minorities are only allowed to have progress when it benefits white people. Mississippi only agreed to remove the Confederate flag from their state flag when it looked like the state was about to lose money from Nascar. Republicans were in love with law enforcement. They thought police should always be tough on crime.. until hundreds of Trump supporters were arrested for their actions at the Capitol. Now suddenly Republicans feel mistreated. "How dare they kill Ashli Babbitt for breaking the law." Republicans are only fine with women and people of color serving on the Supreme Court when it serves their interests (Clarence Thomas, Amy Coney Barrett). Otherwise they feel that diversity is the greatest insult.
1
@matthewclark8651 Yeah sure. Republicans are the ones who really care about black people. If that's what you need to tell yourself to sleep at night 👌 Also, who told you most black people live in the "intercity"? I suggest you check your facts. False stereoypes are not helping your case trying to win over black people. There's a reason people in this country see Republicans as a bunch of white supremacists.
1
@matthewclark8651 Yes, you're right they were. But apparently you got stuck in the past when racist conservatives were actually aligned with the Democratic Party. Now they hate Democrats for being aligned with black people.
1
@matthewclark8651 Now I see where Republican anger comes from. They're mad that all the most intelligent white people teamed up with black and brown people to elect Obama and kick Trump out of office. You feel that highly educated white people are disloyal. All the least intelligent "middle class" prefer Donald Trump and are sulking in their conspiracy theories about election fraud. It's certainly nothing to brag about.
1
@matthewclark8651 Allow me to refer you to this very relevant quote from President Lyndon Johnson explaining Republican opposition to the civil rights movement and ending neighborhood discrimination: “I'll tell you what's at the bottom of it. If you can convince the lowest white man he’s better than the best colored man, he won’t notice you’re picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he’ll empty his pockets for you.”
1
@matthewclark8651 I'm not going to support the party that "used to be" anti-racist when my great-great-grandparents were alive. That would be a dumb way to evaluate someone. But then again, you did say yourself that Republicans are not as well educated, so I probably can't expect too much from you 🤷🏾♂️ Confusing the past with the present. Every day I turn on the news to hear another story about Republicans attacking a black woman. Could be in Congress, could be the vice president, or even Biden's pick for the Supreme Court. It just never ends. Republicans will not get my support because they have a tremendous amount of disrespect for anyone who isn't white. Can't quite hide their white hoods.
1
@matthewclark8651 Democrats are divisive? Oh wow. Says the Trump supporter. Guessing you pulled that line straight form Tucker Carlson. According to him, giving support to someone nonwhite is "spreading hatred and division". Maybe if the Republican Party wasn't 90% white you wouldn't need to feel that way.
1
@matthewclark8651 There you go with Tucker's talking points again, word for word. How about we just use the dictionary definition for racist. No media involvement required. Racist: a person who is prejudiced against or antagonistic toward people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized. Now tell me if you fit the definition or not? I think we know the answer.

@matthewclark8651 Funny how you're now you're acting upset that Ukraine got invaded, but you had no problems when Donald Trump purposely tried to screw them over by withholding military aid meant to help them fight against Russia. (Read: Trump's first impeachment). Leadership at its finest Racist: a person who is prejudiced against or antagonistic toward people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized.
1
@matthewclark8651 So let me get this straight: You're saying that because Hunter Biden took a lucrative job at a company whose owner was under investigation, that made it okay for Trump to extort Ukraine's entire government while they were under attack 🤔 That's literally your thought process. So in addition to the racism, we can note that someone is missing the common sense gene. So obsessed with punishing Hunter Biden, a private citizen, that you think it's okay to extort another country. And then within the span of 2 years, you are so concerned about Ukraine's well-being.
1
@matthewclark8651 I saw the video of him getting a corrupt prosecutor (who was never actually investigating Hunter) fired. A prosecutor who had lost the support of the European Union, the International Monetary Fund, and the Ukranian people. But don't take my word for it. Prove me wrong. You're the conspiracy theorist who likes "doing his own research"
1
@matthewclark8651 Nope. False
1
@matthewclark8651 Pretty sure Ivanka was making several hundred million overseas taking advantage of the fact that her father was president. But nothing to see here.
1
@matthewclark8651 Sorry man. I don't have any more time for your trolling. Go find someone else's time to waste. There's plenty of miserable people who are willing to waste their life away trying to argue with you in the comments section.
