  4.  @esa56  We said whistleblowers should be protected. Not leakers. Whistleblowers follow the anonymous whistleblower process to report wrongdoing. Releasing troves of classified information to the public to impress some teenagers is not whistleblowing.

  10. This guy is going to go away a lot longer than Reality Winner. She only stole one or two documents about 2016 election interference by Russia and gave it to a newspaper. She got 5 years for that. This guy stole hundreds of documents and put it all on the Internet, doing a ton of actual damage.

  22. The military is full of young people though. Rather than focusing on age, they should do a better job restricting who has access to what. But the leaker did have the advantage that he was an IT guy.
