@funkyfiss I'm pretty sure Mike Pence met with quite a few world leaders. When you make an argument, you need to make sure you're actually making a FAIR argument and not being hypocritical just because you don't like the party in power.

@funkyfiss It's funny that conservatives think Trump should get all the credit for the vaccine that's allowing us to open back up, yet they still don't want to take it because they think it's unsafe or that it's some government plot. It's so ironic how conservatives can be both for and against the vaccine as they try to show support for Trump as well as their conspiracy theories.

@funkyfiss First of all, the country is not burning. In fact, things are improving. Turn off the TV and your YouTube videos and go walk around outside. I personally live in Chicago, which the right wing portrays as a literal hellscape. In reality it is beautiful. No buildings burned down. Lots of nice restaurants and shops. Pure, utter exaggeration. As far as Biden and Kamala go, norms can change. As I said, it is very petty for you to be so upset about this given all the norms Donald Trump broke. You have aboslutely no ground to stand on demanding that Biden and Kamala follow any type of norms. It was not normal for a president of the United States to incite an insurrection against his own government. It was not normal for a president to strongarm a foreign country into interfering in our elections. It was not normal for the POTUS to be making money off visits by foreign leaders. It's not normal for a president to have 7 close associates be convinced of federal crimes. Nor was it normal to be holding rallies during a pandemic. It's not normal for a president to give away classified intelligence to the Russian ambassador. I could go on and on. So get off your high horse.

@funkyfiss Also, it's hard for me to imagine you getting so upset if Donald Trump asked Mike Pence to greet world leaders. I'm actually pretty certain you would have no problem with it at all if you were hoping for Mike Pence to run for president after Trump finished his presidency.
2
@funkyfiss I just want to clarify something for you. The reason Biden hasn't met with many world leaders is because there is a worldwide pandemic. And you know as well I do that these meetings are mostly photo ops. The real negotiations happen before world leaders even meet. And Trump was always about the photo op, not the nitty gritty details. As far as Kamala and immigration, the White House has tried to clarify that Kamala's job is to explore to root causes of all the mass migration (poverty, cartels, etc). It's not like she going to personally go and catch people crossing the border. It's basically another opportunity to raise her profile since the VP legally has no actual responsibilities. Like I said, petty arguments because you don't like her.
2
@funkyfiss It seems to me that you're angry Biden is trying to give Kamala a strong platform to run for the first female president in 2024, since she'll be able to say she met with all these world leaders. Biden is normalizing her to American voters, since many will obviously be resistant to having a black female president. I can understand you're upset she's getting such a big platform since you don't like her. But it's still petty.
2
@danger7694 So who should Republicans run for president in 2024 since Trump is now guaranteed to be corrupt? You need someone new with no experience.
2
@funkyfiss Are you seriously concerned that Kamala welcomed a world leader at the front door? Really?? With ALLLLLL the norms Donald Trump broke while you cheered him on, you are concerned about this? Jeez. Biden said before he was sworn in that he would treat Kamala as his right hand. By all appearances, you are just looking for something to complain about. Your anger at Kamala greeting someone at the door is so petty. Just say that you don't like her and MOVE ON.
2
@ShatteredArchive5447 Biden held a press conference with this world leader a few days BEFORE Kamala. Jeez. I can't believe we've got possibly 70 MILLION people getting this confused just because they saw South Korea's president do a press conference with Kamala Harris. No wonder we're so dysfunctional. People are getting enraged at minor things knowing only half the facts.
2
@funkyfiss I shared your concerns about the president meeting with world leaders, so I looked it up and it turns out Biden already did have a press conference with the South Korean president this past week. This press conference with Kamala was a secondary meeting. Turns out there's nothing to worry about.

@luvsnowblading1618 One term president

@jeffb7848 Doesn't every Trump supporter thing the country was better off under Trump. The point is to agree to disagree and not throw the game board on the floor when you lose.

@Dee-js6mh Trump is old news. Twice impeached, one term president, who never even hit 50 percent approval rating, and lost the popular vote twice, the electoral college once. All of that spells out the words "loser" and "old news".

@andrescaiced2993 It was not impossible for Biden to win. Biden was already expected to win more than a year in advance of the election if he became the Democratic nominee. That's why Trump got himself impeached with the Ukraine thing trying to derail Biden's candidacy. That's why Democrats chose Biden instead of someone more liberal. It was always suggested from polls that Biden had the highest chance of success, and Democrats weren't willing to take any risks. Most Americans were saying over a year in advance that they would rather have Biden over Trump. The fact that Trump supporters were super enthusiastic about Trump makes no difference, since they were outnumbered.

@danger7694 You keep ignoring what I'm telling you. They DO try and keep some of their promises. But they are NOT dictators. There are hundreds of representatives that all want different things, but there are limited resources. Not everyone can get what they want. It is IMPOSSIBLE for all of them to keep their promises. Before you respond, please re-read my comment one more time. I'm getting tired of repeating myself.

@funkyfiss Trump is "responsible" for the vaccine in the same way Obama was "responsible" for the killing of Bin Laden. He simply authorized payment to the pharmaceutical companies. But that's neither here nor there. We will always try to give people we support extra credit for just doing their job. I'm pretty sure having a choice about taking the vaccine is normal everywhere in the world, not just in America. However, vaccine skepticism is probably more common here, even though we're the country with all the smart people who developed it. Oh the irony 🙄. The country with all the smart people also has the most citizens who don't trust smart people. But I wouldn't be surprised if some companies or schools started requiring vaccination to prevent outbreaks. Most public schools already require kids have the typical measles/rubella/chickenpox shots before they can enroll.

@Beach-Star-Experience-550-YT Biden already had his press conference with this world leader a few days before that.

@danger7694 I'm pretty sure most of them have an intention on keeping their promises. But I'm mature enough to understand that they have to deal with competing interests. Democrats have to deal with Republicans. Republicans have to deal with Democrats. There are even sometimes fights within each party. Sometimes there isn't enough money or support for a proposal. It's just life. Politics is all about competing interests and resources. We don't live in a dictatorship where one politician can get everything he/she wants, and I get that. So that's why I don't assume all politicians are corrupt for not keeping promises. They go and do what they can and I'm proud of them for that. That's life.
1
@danger7694 I'm pretty sure most politicians don't purposely fail to keep their promises. You have to realise that there are over 500 people in Congress, all with competing interests. The reality is that for most politicians, they wouldn't win election in the first place if they didn't make big promises. But once they get there, they realize most big promises are hard to keep because there will always be people against it. Or there's not enough money. Not being able to keep their promise doesn't necessarily make them corrupt. We're not a dictatorship, so one politician only has so much power. They have to make deals to get anything done, which is probably why you think they are corrupt. 🤷♂️
1
@danger7694 If everyone with experience is corrupt, wouldn't you expect new people to become corrupt as soon as they get some experience then? For example, Donald Trump has experience now. Doesn't that mean he's going to be corrupt if he runs again? Also, nepotism (hiring family members into government positions) is widely seen as corrupt. That's why there's a word for it.
1
@danger7694 He did hire his family members...good old nepotism.. Any job on the planet requires people with experience. But for some reason, conservatives are happier with people who have no experience. I don't get it! That actually sounds LESS efficient than things already are.

@floridaislandgirl1039 Big pharma is greedy, true. Thats the nature of capitalism.....some people make too much money. However, if you look past the dollar signs for the shareholders, big pharma is made up of people just like you and me who are just doing what they love. Without pharmaceutical companies, we might have more money, but we would also be much sicker. They exist for a reason and we need them. It's not in their interest to harm people because they would be sued out of business.

@funkyfiss You keep mentioning how things are soooo bad since Biden took office, but you haven't given a single example of how a particular, real-life Biden policy is causing them. To be completely honest most, if not ALL, of these negative trends first took off while Trump was still still president. Correct me if I'm wrong. Also, being acquitted when it takes 67 votes to convict is not a huge accomplishment (he had 7 in his own party vote to convict for Christ sake). That was one corrup mutha....
