@Worthfishing Did I say that? Seems like you put words in my mouth. And I don't think BLM said they support Hamas either. Like I said, stop thinking in black and white. It makes you seem like you are incapable of understanding complex issues. As far as Israel, I support Palestinian rights to NOT have their lands forcibly taken from them. I understand Hamas attacked Israel to get someone's attention. Was that the right move, probably not....but the world is paying attention. Why is it that when ultra-powerful Israel harms someone, we call it war or self-defense, but when Palestine attacks Israel for harming them, we call it terrorism? Can you answer that for me? 🤔

@jeffreyklima7612 We always buy from OPEC even when we are energy independent (even when Trump was on office).The market is more complex than you make it out to be. Not everything can be simplified to black and white terms like you're trying to do here. Put on your thinking hat.

@jeffreyklima7612 Oil independent means you don't "need" to buy oil from anyone else. It does not mean you never buy from anyone else. Sometimes buying oil from OPEC will be cheaper, or companies have preexisting contracts. You are making accusations even though you do not understand oil markets. Do you know what a futures contract is? How about options contracts? Being oil independent also means we have the capability to sell our own oil and then buy it from other countries for a cheaper price. Markets are complex. It is not black and white. You just don't understand the markets.

@loririenhardt7329 Oh please. The pipeline is back up and running. Everything is opening back up. Inflation concerns will ease up once supply chains have stabilized from everything opening up. We are not falling apart. And please stop hoping for things to fall apart just so you can blame the president. The only thing you need to worry about is whether the parties can work together or if Republicans are going to spend all their time trying to reverse the last election. But Mitch McConnell saying 100% of his attention is on "stopping this administration" is not a good sign for bipartisanship.

@tommas2674 Biden didn't do it to help Russia. He did it to help GERMANY. It seems Biden thinks it is more important to repair relations with Germany after Trump than to use that pipeline to punish Russia. People can argue over whether it was the right decision, but it's not like he just decided to be friends with Putin. The issue is always more complex then Republicans make it out to be with their black and white thinking.

@Worthfishing Why did the US decide to pick sides and choose to defend Israel? They say it's because we believe there should be a Jewish state, okay. But why does Israel think they can purposely make life difficult for other people and always get away with it? Israel gets aways with atrocities just because they know the US will defend them. Someone strikes back at them and we still defend Israel. If you didn't notice, Democrats tend to have a little more empathy for the "little guy" which is why we actually listen to Palestinian complaints about Israel.

@TrumpAmerica-2024 Okay I don't mean to say that we don't need oil at all. But we do not need to rely on it for the majority of our power. Almost everyone on the planet knows that our days of getting most of our energy from fossil fuels are numbered. It is dirty, is heating the earth, and eventually we WILL run out of it (or it will just get really expensive when it gets low). I'm sure we will need fossil Fuels for aviation and the military for the foreseeable future, but most everything else we can get by with wind, solar, nuclear, or battery power.

@chriscross7494 It doesn't matter if the Romans stole the land. No matter how you look at it, the Palestinians were ALREADY THERE long before God "gave" that land to the Israelites. And they were still there long before us Westerners decided to carve out the area and call it Israel. We always talk about how hard Israel has got it. What about the Palestinians??

@freedumb1st471 I actually see people of color benefiting quite a bit from BLM. People are paying attention to police officers. Companies and organizations are noticing the lack of diversity in their ranks. More movies and TV shows have lead actors of color. People are pointing out hidden bias everywhere. Of course all of this is probably stuff that Republicans hate. Lol. They will cry "reverse racism" and plead for Trump to come back and reverse the trend.

@Rj7733 The difference between Democrats and Republicans is that Democrats are willing to acknowledge mistakes and apologize for past racism. But when someone accuses Republicans of racism, Republicans just tell them to shut up, or they respond by saying stupid stuff like "I am the least racist person" or that they can't be racist because they "have a black family member"

@MarkSmith-ud4sd The words themselves are not racist. But when people say those words, it's usually because they want to shut down people saying that black lives matter. It shows a callous attitude towards black people getting shot by police and therefore comes off as racist. It's pretty obvious that everyone life is supposed to matter, so why do you need to say it other than to be a pest?

@colebyrnes7889 BLM came into existence in response to black people getting shot by police back during the Obama administration. What they stand for is protecting unarmed black people from being killed by police. There may be other things you don't like about them, but they have not changed their main objective. It is natural for people who are against a protest movement to find unrelated reasons to hate the movement. You remind me of the conservatives who used to call Martin Luther King a criminal back in the 60s. Now we look upon him as a saint. Same story, different year. And we know it is making a difference because we now have millions of white Americans self-educating themselves about racism and bias.

@lillycothern4978 As the German guy in this thread said, it was a deal between Russia and Germany, two sovereign countries. Who are we to get in the way of that? And the pipeline is already 90 percent finished.
