  1. The difference between Democrats and Republicans is that Republicans brag about their lawbreaking, then claim persecution when they get searched or arrested. Happened with Bannon, happened with Peter Nevarro, happened to Roger Stone. All of them were publicly defiant as they broke the law. Then they claimed to be SHOCKED when the were charged. Deep state "out to get them." Democrats apologize and admit their mistake when they do something wrong (Hillary Clinton handed over her server to the FBI and held a news conference admitting fault). Republicans, on the other hand, are publicly defiant and point fingers.

  3.  @charlesvan13  None of the 3 crimes he is being investigated for require that the documents be classified. Just thought I'd throw that out there since certain media outlets don't seem to be pointing that out, while others do constantly. Basically it doesn't matter if Trump declassified them. He stole government documents that should be with the National Archives. And the fact that he declined to give them back after receiving a grand jury subpoena from the DOJ back in the spring shows the criminal intent. The DOJ predicted his "I declassified them" defense.

  4.  @charlesvan13  No one ever said he was being investigated for actual "espionage". It's much simpler than that. Found in the warrant, they were looking for violations of 18 U.S. Code § 793 - Espionage Act: "Gathering, transmitting or losing defense information. Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 10 years, or both." Basically if he had ANY government documents that were defense related at Mar-a-Lago, he is going to prison. It's just that simple. The Espionage Act was written before the modern classification system. Which is why it doesn't matter if they were classified or not. Second crime listed in the warrant is obstruction of justice. Another easy conviction, since he declined to return the documents multiple times. A 20 year sentence.
