  1. ​ @Cherryswitch  No one said he is guilty of espionage. But he was charged under one of the offenses in the Espionage Act. Most prosecutions over classified docs are charged under the Espionage Act. So the authorities are simply being consistent and treating Trump like any other offender who refused to return classified docs.

But I'm sure you know that the reason Trump is the only politician being prosecuted is because of the obstruction of justice. 18 months. 18 months the National Archives spent asking him nicely to give those military secrets back before he defied a subpoena and tried to deceive the FBI. The obstruction and false statements led directly to his house getting raided and his prosecution on "willful retention" of national defense information, conspiracy to obstruct justice, and false statements.
