No they did not nicely ask for a "secondary lock" so he could keep the records. They sent him a letter after developing evidence that he did not fully comply with the subpoena to turn over all the records. They told him to "secure" the storage room where files were kept until further notice. Then they searched his house and took what he refused to give them. They even found classified records in his desk drawer in his office.

What no Trump supporter want to answer is WHY did he keep the documents. Is no one curious about this?

@MrEkzotic You mean RICO cases like the one Trump, Lindsey Graham, and Rudy Giuliani are all about to get charged with in Georgia? The Fulton County district attorney down there is not playing any games. They went to her county and decided to commit crime. Rudy has already been notified that he is a target. Lindsey Graham has been ordered to testify. The Georgia Governor too. Also Mark Meadows and Sidney Powell.

@markharlock6474 It hurts doesn't it? The level of criminality. You spent all these yeas defending Trump and now he does something so blatant tha you can't even come up withd defense. Trump stole government documents that didn't belong to him when he left office. Then he obstructed the investigation. They are gonna throw him in prison for the rest of his days.

@kevinh3979 So Donald Trump declassified national defense documents so he could steal them from the government he is no longer a part of. And Republicans think there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Interesting.

The point is Donald Trump is not president anymore. I'll spell it out for you. FORMER president. AKA they do NOT belong to him. And he refused to give them back after a criminal grand jury sent him a subpoena.

@tocomment2209 Hillary didn't need the power to declassify. She handled classified documents as part of her job. She didn't STEAL them after she left her job. And she gave the server to the FBI. Not that you care. The power of whataboutism is is too strong.
