Comments by "" (@Mawyou) on "JUST IN: FBI Searching Mike Pence’s Home After Discovery Of Classified Records, Reports Say" video.
What do you mean? Joe took responsibility the exact same way Pence did. Their lawyers found classified documents and reported them. Then they both gave the FBI permission to search their homes without needing a warrant. Stark contrast to Trump. He defied a subpoena then lied to the FBI in writing. It showed INTENT. So legally speaking, Trump is still the most at risk for going to prison.

Hunter is a private citizen.

@Frankiarmz It is so odd to hear you say that Trump kept Putin in line. Perhaps. But everyone knows Trump admired Putin and the absolute power he holds in Russia. He made it very clear he wanted to be friends with the bully while he constantly attacked our actual allies.
2
It appears Presidents and Vice Presidents are not required to keep everything in a SCIF. Kind of makes sense given they are ALWAYS dealing with classified information. But at least don't lose them in your home and forget to give them back. Or in Trump's case refuse to give them back.
2
Biden only has 2 properties. FBI already searched both. I think you should be asking that question about Trump instead, seeing as he has many properties and only 1 of them got searched. It's only fair.
2
Pence invited them to come. Same as Biden. Just to make sure there were no more.

@Frankiarmz Lol. Hurts your brain doesn't it? Realizing how hypocritical you are. That's the definition of cognitive dissonance. Hurts your brain so bad you have to end the conversation.

@suemullins5213 No Hillary did not collude with Russia. She also didn't collude with Ukraine She also didn't try to illegally overturn her defeat
1
@suemullins5213 Actually the Steele dossier came from a British guy. Michael Steele. Maybe stop making stuff up. Some people are actually smart enough to fact check your disinformation.

@jasonscott6174 4th Amendment explicitly prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures. Means you have to actually have evidence before you search someone's home. You can't do it based on a hunch.

Probabaly hundreds of thousands of classified docs are created every year by various agencies. The Archives have to trust everyone to be honest following the law and sending everything to them when they leave office. The only reason they knew Trump hadn't returned everything was because they realized certain famous items like his "love letters" to Kim Jong Un were missing. Then when Trump gave them back to the Archives a year later, they were mixed in with over 100 classified documents. That's when the FBI got involved.
1
@Frankiarmz Lol. Looks like you're suffering from some congnitive dissonance. But you said it. The narrative on the right goes that liberals are "un-American" because they don't believe in traditional American values. But it is always possible for a non-liberal to say something un-American like you just did. Saying it's okay for an American president to prefer dictators is incredibly un-American. Since I have to remind you, dictators are BAD. B-A-D.
1
Seems like there are way too many classified documents from way too many agencies for the Archives to keep track of them all. But you would expect the politicians to put forth a bigger effort to return them when they leave office.
1
Actually Trump got raided at 9am. And it was because he defied a subpoena and lied to the FBI.
1
@Frankiarmz Wrong answer. That is the most un-American response imaginable. Apparently you prefer dictators too. As long as think they are on your side. Found another ultra MAGA extremist.
1
@Frankiarmz Sure that's what you think. But you don't have to assume Trump's intentions. In fact, he said it out loud at a campaign rally. He literally said he gets along better with dictators. That is not fake news. You can google it. It's on video.
1
@suemullins5213 The documents from his time as senator are NOT classified. Joe declassified them with his mind the day he became president.
1
@suemullins5213 How do you know Trump had documents that would incriminate anyone? Given that the content of the documents is NOT public information there is no way you could know that. You made it up. Taking it on faith. Dumb. How do you know Trump declassified the documents on Jan 19, 2021. There is NO evidence of this anywhere. Also it doesn't matter if they were classified because he still broke the law by defying a grand jury subpoena and lying to the FBI. You made it up. Taking it on faith. Dumb. The lawsuit Trump filed against Hillary, the DNC, and the FBI was thrown out of court for being a frivelous manifesto of grievances. Trump and his lawyer were sanctioned and fined $1 million to cover everyone's attorney fees. Research is a good thing.
1
@suemullins5213 Pence didn't defy a subpoena and sign a sworn statement lying that all the document were returned.

4th Amendment explicitly prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures. Means you have to actually have evidence before you search someone's home. You can't do it based on a hunch.

@jackbrown8052 Maybe. But requiring that would probably not stand up in court either. The requirements for running to be a member of Congress are also laid out in the Constitution. Only requirements are age and residency. For example, California recently passed a law requiring all presidential candidates to release their tax returns to be on the ballot and it was struck down in court. Requiring home searches would probably get struck down too.
1
@jackbrown8052 Well it is still a crime to knowingly take them and not give them back. Luckily Biden and Pence turned them over without even having to be asked. Chances are they will be fine. Trump on the other hand..... that obstruction. Turns out he was the most dishonest of all. How can we ever trust him?
1
Because their jobs are not low paying. And many are business owners and were already rich before they ran. Plus after they get elected they make money selling books. And when they leave office they give paid speeches and sit on the boards of companies. Organizations will pay a lot of money for that stuff. Former Speaker Paul Ryan sits on the board of Fox News. Pretty sure it pays a lot.

4th Amendment prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures. You need to have evidence of a crime before you can search someone's home.
1
Probabaly because the smart attorneys for Biden and Pence know that purposely not returning them is its own crime. It was display of honesty that Republicans always claim doesn't exist. On the other hand, Trump's attorneys (only the best people) tried a different tactic and caused him to get him home raided.
1
A regular employee would face jail time if they KNOWINGLY took classified information and refused to return it. That's why Trunp is still the most at risk of going to prison. He defied a subpoena, concealed documents when the FBI came to his house, and lied to them in writing when he said he had turned everything over.
1
Well they did wait several weeks. No flashing lights and long guns because he didn't defy a subpoena.
1
4th Amendment explcitly prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures. You cannot search someone's home without evidence. You can't do it based on a hunch.
