With all the reports of violence and breakdowns by teachers do you really think arming them is the answer? More guns and living in a police state is no answer.

Matt G don't act stupid and pretend you don't know the difference. If you place armed guards in every institution who answer to the government that is a police state. Now explain to me how common sense gun laws infringe on the second amendment. Maybe you believe it is a good idea to allow felons and the mentally ill to have access to guns?

Matt G so your argument is that nothing can be done and therefore should be done? Common sense gun control is not an unspecified phrase. If it is proposed to be put into law it has to specify what it applies to. Sadly all I hear from your types is that the only answer is more guns. Now we want to arm our teachers and treat schools like prisons. How long till some overworked, underpaid teacher goes mental and kills a classroom full of kids? But hey, maybe you are right, maybe we should ignore the reasons that people are losing their minds and just throw more gasoline on the fire.
