@ thank you for that response. question- how far should we go back in order to return land? who owned the land? i would say the charter of hamas contradicts the point about this not happening were it not for anything Israel did. what does it say they want to do?

@fe6767 a couple of things. GB and the league of nations controlled that area at that time. the offer to divide the land was accepted by isreal. the palestinians rejected the offer and the surrounding countries declared war on israel, they lost. they have still been offered land for peace as recently as 2005. it worked for egypt and sinai in 71. not so much with the palestiinians. second, i'm referring to now. if one group breaks a peace treaty and massacres 1200 of another groups people while taking a couple hundred hostage, declaring war on the other group, the other group has a responsibility to hold that group accountable and rescue the hostages.
