Comments by "Geoff Challis" (@Geffo555) on "Farage pushes for hard Brexit on tour" video.
Why should he care about the consequences of a no-deal. He won't even be in the country when the grim reality of Brexit arrives.

+icdgyixfy. Are you implying that I'm a traitor? And does that also apply to the other 16 odd million people that also didn't fall for Farage's fairy tale? The true traitors are those that are selling this country down the river for the alt-right (fascist lite) movement. So are you one of them? or just another fool?

+Mark Larkin. Do you know how many EU citizens fill crucial positions within the NHS? I do. So what happens if they are forced out by a no-deal? Let's just hope that we don't need hospital treatment after B DAY. At the moment the vast amount of our imports carry no tariff. Do you know how much tariff will be added in the event of a no deal? I do. Do you bother to listen when the Bank of England, the CBI, and the IMF all warn that a no-deal will have a catastrophic effect on our economy? I do. But you'd rather ignore the facts because vague optimism is so much more comforting.

+Mark Larkin. The issue is Mark that we have to deal with the problems we are faced with now. And I'm fed up with the likes of Farage telling us that a no-deal is great when it clearly isn't. A deal of some kind is essential in my view, especially in regard to EU citizens and trade.
6
+Mark Larkin. This is about having a deal or not, and we were promised a deal. Do you recall Liam Fox saying that a getting a deal would be "one of the easiest in human history" or how about Rees-Mogg assuring us that the "EU was not ready for a no-deal Brexit." ? But now we arrive at Jeremy Hunt's "No deal by accident." So who voted for an accident Mark? Surely only a fool would vote for such a thing.
6
And Mark, our present unemployment rate and economic good news has been achieved whilst still within the EU. (So not all bad news then)
5
+Nark larkin That's about the lamest reply I've seen all night. Not surprised that you're withdrawing from the debate Mark. I totally owned you. LOL. Truth 5 Brexit zealot 0.

I expect a few more Brexit trolls will soon join in. It's like they're determined to stifle the debate and bury anything that challenges Brexit doctrine. I expect they are the alt-right (fascist lite) mob on a mission. But I wonder why a no-deal is so crucial to them. Any clues?
3
+Nark larkin. Yet another lame response. And just to remind you, the topic here is to whether a no-deal is a good idea or not. And I've clearly proved that a no-deal is an accident rather than a plan and that it will not be beneficial to our country.

Roger. Just give me an example of the EU legislation that is detrimental. Perhaps it's something I just haven't thought about.
1
+Zoney06. I'm assuming that you must be another of the "mob" Well, by grim I mean that our NHS will be severely damaged by a no-deal. That prices will rise. (no tariff vs tariff) That car manufacturing will cease in this country, certainly for several months and may never restart. And then we have Yellowhammer. So yes. it will be grim.

+Nark Lemming I don't know it all, but I do take the trouble to learn. The alternative is only to remain in ignorance or just believe what fools tell you. And why should I feel ashamed at telling the truth. How many likes have I got now?
1
+Nark Lemming. 101 likes. My work here is done I think. And consider the neutrals reading this thread. My initial comments were factual and reasoned, but like the majority of BaaRexiteers you've only offered snidey remarks and nonsense. Well done, you must like scoring own goals.

+Phil Dobson I was born here in the 50s. My dad was a soldier from London, and I'm watching Match of the Day. THE TRUTH IS GETTING LOUDER BY THE HOUR.
1
+Phil Dobson. "Go away"? Is that really the best you can do? But I note the alt-right (fascist lite) have sent in one of their political officers. VaucluseVanguard Has Bannon got some kind of Doublethink tank?
1
+Craig Vickery. You've completely misunderstood the argument. Another poster suggested I was "Vichy-British" By which he meant a traitor. My response being that 16 odd million that voted remain are just as patriotic but see Brexit as harmful to our country. And there is substantial argument to support this view. Secondly, the topic here is about a no-deal being a crazy strategy. My reasons can be read in the earlier comments.
1
+Craig Brexit. Can you be specific about his claims. List them please.
1
+Craig Brexit. What? I'm a working class bloke that was in Cyprus for bit as a young man. That hardly makes me one of the privileged elite does it. Perhaps you should address these comments to Jacob Rees-Mogg.
1
I want you all to remember the lead comment. Because at the moment idiots are still supporting Farage, but you'll all be cursing him in a year or two.
1
+Simon Clare. Kind of ironic that you call me deluded when the vast majority of BaaRexiteers simply ignore facts and expert opinions. But you're just another zealot that can offer nought but nonsense. And the reason you dislike me is simply because I am informed. The "owned" jibe was a little silly, but it worked.
1
+Roger Bennett. The government's Brexit White Paper stated, “The sovereignty of Parliament is a fundamental principle of the UK constitution. Whilst Parliament has remained sovereign throughout our membership of the EU, it has not always felt like that.” So we never actually lost our freedom.

+Melvin Beck. I'm glad for you Melvin, I believe that we should have ideals. It's silly to think of the EU as some utopia though and the Brexiters do have a few valid points. But most of them are also quite deranged unfortunately. Have you read some of these comments? Sheesh!
1
+John Smith. How is the EU a tyranny?
1
Knightley79. Don't worry if you can't find the precipice, I'm sure Mr Farage can point the way for you. And remember to say thank you as you plummet to economic oblivion. Nigel will be just behind you, but he'll have a parachute and be drifting away to his personal sunlit uplands.

And both only have one ball. Spooky.

Trump also exerts a mesmeric influence over lemmings. But Stormy Daniels would have told us if the orange shillmaster was bollockly deficient.
1
+Melvin. Trump surfed to power on populist rhetoric and is still loved by the alt-right. Sane Americans are turning away though and Trump's whole administration is about ready to implode I believe. Not sure what to make of your "extremism" point. But we all have to curb our primal instincts in order to live in a civilised society.
1
Sorry Melvin. Missed this. Actually I think that Dutch people are far more cultured. A memory comes to mind of girl I met on a football tour. She was Dutch and definitely cultured. I'm too old to box though. Sorry about that.

Spinler. What are you on about now? I've never been bribed in my life. You though have lost your mind. 277 likes. I hit a nerve I think. Something about Farage that just oozes spiv.

Nark larkin. I'm retired fella, so the "boy" remark only comes across as rather juvenile to me. The first time was a typo but then I liked it.
1
The driver's an idiot and half the passengers only grin like mesmerised fools as we head toward a precipice. "The wheels on the bus go BaaRexit, BaaRexit, BaaRexit. The wheels on the bus go BaaRexit and it won't end well."
1
Is that a threat Roger? And it won't end well for ANY of us. But mugs like you will only have themselves to blame whilst people like myself will at least know that we tried to do the right thing. MUG!
1
Roger Bennet. We never lost sovereignty. The government's own White Paper explains this. But you lot really are laughable really. Did you see yesterday's notice about air travel? You've all been mugged but can't bear to acknowledge the truth. MUG!
1
Roger Bennet. Here's the thing, I'm not bothered. If a Brexit plan could clearly deliver a stronger UK I would back it in a heartbeat. But so far there just isn't one. The EU were never going to accept the Chequers Plan, and their option would just leave us worse off than we are now. And all that's left is a no-deal, which (based upon the best forecasts available and common sense) will be near catastrophic for our economy. It's pointless arguing about this. I see clear substance the naysayers argument where you only see "project fear." The ERG had a chance to present a viable alternative but offered nothing of value.
1
Roger Bennet. Sorry but none of this bothers me greatly, and even Churchill saw the merit of a united Europe. In hundred years or so there could well be a world government, but if it meant world peace and prosperity for all I can't see a problem. As I see it, Brexit only means that we'll all be poorer and the country weaker as a whole. Which is why I've been leaving my comments for a few months now. Perhaps you have the same motivations, which is fair enough, but a no-deal could genuinely leave us knackered. Do you have littluns in your family? I do. And I don't want them growing up in abject poverty.
1
And I apologise for the "MUG" comment. You are entitle to your opinion. Probably got you mixed up with another Roger.
1
No one knows for sure, but ignoring every expert forecast is just irresponsible. And what about the positive legislation the EU has pushed for? Environmental standards that have improved air and water quality (Those blue flags on beaches) Also workers rights and safety requirements. I could list more. So again, I just don't get it.
1
+Nark Lemming I'm retired and those days are well behind me. Had lots of fun in Cyprus back in the day though. And Nark, check my likes. The truth is getting louder by the hour.
