The Texas law allows private citizens to SUE other citizens for damages. Financial damages from one citizen suing another are awarded by a *CIVIL COURT*. If you are not a district attorney or other government prosecutor, THEN YOU CANNOT SUE ANYONE IN CRIMINAL COURT. Find me a case of criminal Court where it is a private citizen versus another private citizen. You can't. It is always the state or the locality or the U.S. versus a defendant. That's criminal court. If you have Joe private citizen versus other Joe private citizen then that is civil court.
