Actually we had highest growth since Brexit in the G7 until first eight months of 2022 so do your numbers first and yes we down now but IMF say we could overtake France and Germany this year.....so stop all the propaganda as 1970s were worse....tell you what Poland can do take Euro as a currency?

@English_Dawn Agree! I know since I was last in Poland prices have gone up but still cheaper compared to Lithuania in North and Slovakia in South indeed people from those countries cross the border into Poland to shop still as EURO always pushes prices up, I mean Polish people used to cross border to shop in Slovakia as it was cheaper before EURO. The people I spoke to said bluntly we don't want the EURO as a currency, ' always at a cost' good post.

@EllieD.Violet Yeah right do your numbers please...G7 growth and IMF predictions for this year.

@sciencefliestothemoon2305 You can't compare with COVID 2021 growth down everywhere, we are still strong and robust inflation last couple of months down, meanwhile on the continent many countries higher inflation also esp Austria and Germany because of higher energy costs many companies leaving Germany for same reason Nordstream blown up and not a word said ( even though we all know who did it just before winter) Germany and Sweden both say they know who did it. LNG is more expensive and we all know USA very happy to make a good profit!! If it was Russia those countries would have made it front page news....so people who live in glass houses.....
1
@sciencefliestothemoon2305 So you want to talk about Sweden and housing crisis also?
1
@EllieD.Violet You have a negative outlook we will be fine German companies are starting to leave for America Asia due to higher energy costs, because apparently one of Germany's allies blew up the Nordstream 1 & 2 pipelines just before winter freeze....both Germany and Sweden have admitted they know who did this( if it was Russia it would be front page news) and not a word said!! Don't forget our growth was highest in G7 last couple of years we will up to end of 3rd quarter 2022, we sold €147 Billion of goods to EU 2022, the pound did fall to -14.7% but quickly recovered EURO fell to -19.1% and IMF predictions say we could overtake Germany or France this year and I've not even started on EEC 1980 when Europe had roughly a third of global GDP and now down to roughly 15% of global GDP many reasons Inc overbearing regulatory system and massive welfare bills and now can barely compete on global stage.....I would call you a little European but I feel sorry for you supporting a slow growth and high youth unemployment bloc.

@sciencefliestothemoon2305 Sweden is facing it's 'day of reckoning ' as house prices plummet. CNBC 2023/01/11.

@ipnorospo3000 You make no sense at all! It's still not a bubble.....seriously.
1
@EllieD.Violet But you don't know?????
1
@ipnorospo3000 Are you ok? You sound angry, tell you what if you come up with something viable like facts and rational arguments rather than hyperbole rather than a babyish rant I will engage....we are doing fine it was worse in 70s and after the war we always flourish and I know you want us not to succeed but that is rather sad!
1
@belenamarapura7933 Great if you can put Trudeau on your money.....
1
@EllieD.Violet It's only the biggest story in the world right now...Seymour Hersh? Lying by omission, Denmark, Sweden and Germany were investigating but Sweden decided to pull out then Germany citing they know who did it but it's not going to disclose because doing so would be contrary to national security. Also German Attorney General Peter Frank told Die Welt No evidence of Russian sabotage and you have your own MEP Mick Wallace condemning US attack on Russian Nordstream pipeline In the European parliament....jeez.
1
@sciencefliestothemoon2305 Seriously....that's a big statement you can't back up.
1
@ipnorospo3000 EEC was 30% of all world GDP...now 15% and shrinking esp Germany The Powerhouse of Europe with no cheap energy anymore and companies looking to leave as LNG is a lot more expensive than pipeline gas which was blown up by who? We will be fine you take care.
1
@Tore Eliasson That's quite a sad statement first of all not slaves otherwise they wouldn't have worked here so nonsense to start..people still want to work here and can, we have many Ukraine refugees here doing the jobs that my family do and have always done so your argument complete nonsense.
1
@Tore Eliasson Again that doesn't even make sense if you want to make a point give me facts please not hyperbole.
1
@Tore Eliasson Explain please...you mean US?
1
@Tore Eliasson I'm not holding Assange....America? I'm not a big fan of at moment.
1
@Tore Eliasson Why didn't you spit it out, finally we agree on something but your wrong on UK pushing for war ....it's guess who...and I can actually prove it ...Did you know Russia actually wanted to Join NATO?
1
@Tore Eliasson Also who got Boris Johnson to fly to Turkey when peace negotiations being discussed?
1
@Tore Eliasson See we agree on NATO! This war was engineered, even EU Ursula Von Der Leyen admitted they planning sanctions months before Russia invaded, NATO surrounded Russia.
1
@Tore Eliasson No it was the Africans who sold and had slaves in cages on beaches to be taken overseas? Did you not know? Do you need a history lesson? India reparations to Pakistan as well or Greeks to Persians... Persepolis? Africa to Europe reparations for slave trade...all peoples were slaves are you completely stupid.... Genghis Khan Mongolian reparations to Hungary, Middle East China....Have you thought about comedy? We all need comedy in life and thank you very much! 🤣
