  1.  Chris j  I think no one owes shit. We would have had a duty of care if they were colonies still but they wanted independence so we said fine and wished them well. Independence doesn't mean, "dependence without giving back".

  2. Fairly? Where I'm from, what is "fair" is that you get to keep what you produce yourself, and you have the choice to sell or trade it with someone else.
