The EU27 nations have reduced CO2 output to 27% BELOW the amount it had in 1990. Even the United States had a CO2 output in 2021 that was 7% BELOW its 1990 output amount. Are you not aware of this? Are such reductions not worthy of positive comment? While many Western nations are actually reducing their CO2 output, China continues to massively increase its own CO2 emissions at a rapid rate, more than wiping out all the reductions made by the EU27 and others. China's carbon output has more than QUINTUPLED since 1990. China has emitted more total CO2 in the last 17 years than has the United States over the last 31 years. The leaders you need to move forward in the right direction are those in China.

Well, I presume this means you and many others will now start screaming at China, the world's #1 emitter of CO2 for the last 17 years in a row, and will demand harsh sanctions and/or a carbon tax be slapped on the country in order to pressure it to do something about its massive, world-leading amount of CO2 emissions. Because its rapid increase in carbon output has more than wiped out many times over all the carbon output reductions achieved by the EU27 nations, as well as the reductions made by other countries. Strangely, however, almost no climate activists ever mention China and how it was responsible for nearly ONE-THIRD of total global CO2 emissions in 2021, an amount greater than the next seven nations combined.

The issue I have with climate change activists is they demand Western nations do yet more and more to reduce CO2 output while completely ignoring how China is the #1 emitter of CO2 in the world, and has been the #1 emitter for 17 years in a row. In fact, China has emitted more total CO2 over those 17 years than has the United States over the last 31 years. As long as China is allowed to pump out as much CO2 as it wants, what Western nations do to reduce carbon output won't matter because China's output increases will more than wipe out Western reductions.

@redbloodcell4047 Better start yelling then at the world's #1 emitter of CO2: China. Because any reductions in carbon output by Western nations will be more than offset by China;s rapid carbon output increases.
