  4. That is extremely untrue. Canada accepted 437,000 new permanent residents in 2022, which is about 1.1% of its total population. The US accepted 1,018,000 new permanent residents in 2022, which is about 0.3% of its total population. Furthermore, that has nothing to do with the US's mass shooting problem, as most of the shootings are done by native-born citizens.
