  2. Left wing politics are those that seek equality rather than maintaining hierarchies. That encompasses both economic and social issues. "Wokeism" is totally a left wing thing. A socialist society that persecutes queer people is not egalitarian.

  3. What happened is we let the loud, angry minority take a disproportionate amount of power in our country. In terms of its citizens, America is pretty tolerant and is becoming more so every year. Support for queer rights and abortion rights is higher than ever. The problem is that our government doesn't reflect our overall population.
