  4. There was a storm that destroyed the rodeo fairgrounds in Burwell on May 12, 2022. Temporary metal bleachers immediately replaced the ones destroyed and the mess was soon cleaned up. There are actually more volunteers for the rodeo than the entire population of Burwell (local towns and residents also helped out). In July 2022, just two months later, Nebraska's Big Rodeo committee (the one in Burwell) was inducted into the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame. The rodeo was excellent, and the entire storm incident was just something that happened and not some long-suffered tragedy.

  5. It's incredible how few of people are actually helping out! I guarantee there are people all over that area that are just sitting in their homes with no intention of doing anything to make the situation better.
