@KysAngel I'd say read it again but that wouldn't do any good because you're misreading it on purpose. I just told you we were AGAINST those racial atrocities yet at the same time we were using racist expressions like Hong Kong flu, unaware we were being racist. I've probably wasted my time explaining it to you because you're going to figure out a way to misread this too.

There are a lot of them in the administration. Actually Kellyann can't do as much harm because she's in the public eye and we can see what she's up to. The quiet ones we never notice or hear about do a lot more damage.

I remember German measles and Hong Kong flu. The difference is that when we used those names it was mostly thoughtless, we didn't know we were racist or xenophobic. But this "Chinese virus" usage is deliberate, planned and political.

@KysAngel Sure. There was a lot of unconscious racism in the 50s and 60s. Awareness of racism was in its infancy. If we were against Jim Crow laws like segregation and the poll tax we thought that meant we weren't racist. And awareness of xenophobia was just about that abysmal too.

@g.e.o.r.g.e... A lot more than feelings are getting hurt. Chinese Americans are getting assaulted and battered because the administration avoids calling Covid19 by its name and makes a point of calling it Chinese virus to fuel racism.
