I have been a first responder most of my adult life and volunteered for a major disaster relief organization, believe me if your in a disaster you probably do not want FEMA to show up, they actively interfere in aid distribution and rescue efforts and are completely incompetent. Ask yourself, do you want a disaster operation run by local and state level experienced veteran first responders or a DC bureaucrat from FEMA who has never been a firefighter, medic, LEO, SAR expert or soldier. FEMA should never be in charge of anything, they should just truck in aid and equipment for first responders who run the operation and for volunteers.
