Just to be clear this is not the normal hotline between the President and Putin, this is a special hot line set up under unusual circumstances where a incident is likely to happen, this was last set up in Syria where both US and Russian troops were present, this is at a military commander level, the Russians agreed to set it up with Ukraine War but now Russia is refusing to answer the phone. It appears Russia and Poland are breaking off diplomatic relations, Russians were burning docs at the embassy there. Russia has also threatened to break off diplomatic relations with the US, that never happened even in the cold war.

Just an FYI the Russian ship Orsk was sunk, it blew to pieces I watched it, two other ships were also burning, Ukraine hit it with a missile while it was docked in port. The Ukrainian numbers on dead Russians actually appear to be true, a Russian publication with Kremlin connections published a death toll of about 10k and that is ONLY Russian military dead it does not count Chechen, Syrian and private mercenaries working for Russia so the Ukrainian numbers are probably accurate for a total of all the enemy dead.
