That is what the prosecution wants, they want a hung jury or mistrial so they can maintain their murderer narrative, they know there is no way they will get a full jury to agree to convict a obviously innocent person, the judge basically accused them of trying to force a mistrial with their illegal actions near the end of the trial. A mistrial or hung jury is the best they can hope for, it is a win for them.
