  1. If we know anything about Indian Defense plans they change regularly under the best of circumstances let alone the current situation with a full blown cold war with China getting warmer every day.

  2. Very few in India seem in love with the Tejas. My guess is the AF will adopt the Gripen for the time being, high quality and less expensive than competitors so more can be purchased. Indian Navy seems unable to make a quick decision 50/50 they will stick with problematic Mig 29 or go with F-18. India also needs to start building or buying Amphibious Assault carriers to keep pace with China and should surpass them by putting some F-35B's on them.
