I’m not sure that subsidizing medical students who are statistically already privileged people is a good idea. Our healthcare definitely needs work though, there is no reason that people should be able to profit off the misfortune of others At cost universal healthcare for all

@eraofentirety will it? Or will it simply be another benefit for the kids of already wealthy individuals? Also it doesn’t address the main issue which is that the education cost so much in the first place, meaning it is just a way for medical schools to extract taxpayer money for themselves, it doesn’t actually change anything. It will be taken advantage of by capitalist just like everything else under this system. A public college system, maybe even starting with medical school would be a much better option, it could be run at cost, greatly reducing the cost of getting medical training, and eventually any education.
