  2. I guess sedated means to take him on out. My aunt's husband died of pancreatic cancer 6 years ago and the hospice nurse told him it was time to go and then she gave him the mercy shot that ended his life. I believe it was an overdose of morphine. Anyway, he was ready to go and died in my aunt's arms
