  1. Why is this guy not discussing all the stores that closed down in Florida? When I went to visit my parents a few months ago, at least 10+ Walgreens closed in the Oakland Park, Tamarac, Sunrise, Pompano Beach areas. How about doing a story on those republican utopias?

  2.  @hydrolito  While that is great in theory to blame the cities, it is ultimately the state that determines what cities can do in Florida. Many democrat cities tried to pass things and the state threatened them in all sorts of ways. Cities are to the state as the state is to the Federal Government. Cities don't have total autonomy. So yes, there is plenty to blame at the governor level.

  3.  @seventhsun1982  Yet Desantis and his republican legislature limit everything cities can and can't do. Can democrat cities create their own environmental standards to curb global warming? Can democrat cities have their own version of abortion? Can democrat cities determine what Medicaid funds pay for? I can go on and on. Cities are only as autonomous as the states allow, and Desantis is a fascist dictator wannabe who will get wiped at the elections. I don't even think he can beat Trump.

  4. Cities that allow homeless to happen.... Seriously? What do you want these cities to do? Anytime they give these homeless people a shelter or plan to build one, nobody votes for it. Landlords cry government overreach!!! Everyone else screams OMFG FREE GOVT HANDOUTS and nothing gets done. Yet nobody understands it's cheaper to put these people in apartments than send them to privatized jails
