A crashing market means the administration can get their tax cuts passed, the FED to lower interest rates, and it gives wealthy people an opportunity to buy stocks and other assets at cheap prices. As a bonus, a market crash means the administration has an excuse to cut social programs because the government revenue is dramatically reduced.

Do you really think a bunch of billionaires who built their wealth by gaming the system suddenly have our best interests at heart when they warn us about "necessary sacrifices" and tough times ahead?
