It seems there's a push by those in power to acquire as many assets as possible, likely due to concerns about the future of the dollar. With ongoing money printing, the new administration appears focused on tax cuts, which could have significant effects on government debt. If you think the new administration genuinely cares about managing the national debt, it might be time to reconsider that perspective ^^^^ I really didn't want to phrase my comment like a robot, but youtube kept censoring the more emotional post.

The woman in New Jersey can move to Pennsylvania or West Virginia which are not that far. Plenty of affordable places in those states. She's honestly clueless.

That makes zero sense. If I'm searching for a house that is under $250k, I'll only see the current prices. So if the owner of a home changes the price from $200k to $300k, I won't see the listing anymore. The price being $200k months ago has no bearing on my current search. It will not show up unless it is currently under $250k.

You are making his point. I'd say 62 is still part of the boomer generation that benefited from decades of relatively low inflation with asset prices (stocks, housing, etc...) constantly going up. But that came at a cost. Our beloved government was using endless amounts of debt to increase those asset prices. The current generations under age 50 are paying for your great life.

You do realize they are trying to grab as many assets as possible because they know the end of the dollar is near. So they are printing non stop and buying what they can. The new administration is going to double down on this with tax cuts being their top priority. If you think DT and the new congress honestly care about government debt..... LOL!!!! You haven't been paying attention since the 1980s.

And the Federal Reserve is the asset buyer of last resort in order to keep market crashes in check. Look at the Federal Reserves asset balance sheet and be shocked.

And what do we get from it in return compared to other "socialist" Scandinavian countries?
